Privacy Policy — PilotCalc Pro
Effective date: 29 May 2026
PilotCalc Pro is designed to respect your privacy completely. The short version: we do not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking of any kind.
What we collect
Nothing. PilotCalc Pro does not collect personal information. The app has no analytics, no advertising, no third-party tracking SDKs, and no telemetry.
Data you create in the app
Any data you enter or save — calculator inputs, saved trip briefs, aircraft and operator profiles, crew-rest plans — is stored:
- On your device, protected by iOS file-level encryption; and
- In your own private iCloud account (Apple CloudKit), if you are signed in to iCloud, so it can sync across your devices.
This data lives in your private iCloud database. The developer has no access to it and cannot read, retrieve, or share it. iCloud sync is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. If you are not signed in to iCloud, the app works fully and keeps everything on-device only.
Network use
PilotCalc Pro works offline. The only data that ever leaves your device is the information you choose to sync to your own private iCloud account, as described above. We operate no servers and receive no data from the app.
Notifications
Crew-rest features may schedule local notifications (e.g. a rest-end alarm) on your device. These are generated and delivered entirely on-device and are not sent to or through us.
Third-party data
The app bundles publicly available airport reference data from OurAirports (public domain). No data is sent to OurAirports or any third party.
Children’s privacy
PilotCalc Pro does not collect data from anyone, including children, and is safe for all ages.
Your control over your data
Because nothing is collected by us, there is nothing for us to delete. To remove data you created: delete it within the app, or delete the app and remove its data from iCloud via Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage.
Advisory-use disclaimer
PilotCalc Pro is a planning and educational aid. Its outputs — including all regulatory figures such as flight-duty-time limits — are advisory and are not a substitute for official aeronautical information, approved aircraft documentation, your operator’s Operations Manual, or current charts and NOTAMs. The pilot in command is solely responsible for all operational decisions.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new effective date.
